Direct MT in User Chat Messages
You can translate your messages in MS Teams using the Direct Machine Translation feature in the Straker Translate App.
To translate chat messages, perform the following:
- Click on the Apps button, and then click the Straker Translate app.
- Select the Add to a chat option from the dropdown list.
- Enter or select the name of the person or a chat, and then click Setup a bot.
- The Straker Translate app bot will be added to the chat.
- Tag the Straker Translate app bot inside the message box in the following format:
@straker translate, and then select Straker Translate from the suggestions list. - Enter the message to translate inside the message box in the following format:
MT to [target language code] [text to translate], and then press Enter or click Send.
Note: The following example shows the text to be translated to German (DE). - The Straker Translate app bot will translate your message according to the specified target language, and the translated version of your message is displayed.
Direct MT in the Straker Translate App
You can directly translate text from within the Straker Translate app using the Direct Machine Translation feature.
To translate from within the Straker Translate app, perform the following:
- Click on the View more apps button, and then select the Straker Translate app.
- Enter the text to translate inside the message box in the following format:
MT to [target language code] [text to translate], and then press Enter or click Send.
Note: The following example shows the text to be translated to French (FR). - The Straker Translate app will translate your text according to the specified target language, and the translated version of the text is displayed.
