Organizations that install the Straker Translate app may have users who do not have a LanguageCloud account. Users in your organization can be invited to LanguageCloud to have an account. Users can also manually sign up to LanguageCloud, verify their account, choose the groups they belong to, and then a LanguageCloud admin can approve their account.
Once a user installs the Straker Translate app, they are required to sign up and connect their LanguageCloud account to the app before they can use any of the Straker Translate app features.
To sign up:
- Download and install the Slack App – Staging Environment from the following link:
https://stage-slack-deltaray.strakertranslations.com/slack/install. -
Connect the Straker Translate app to your organization's account using the following two methods:

Connect the Straker Translate app to your organization's account by clicking on Direct Login.
Notes:- Direct Login will use the Slack email to log in.

Only IBM users can view the Direct Login button. If the Direct Login button is not available, then click on Connect LanguageCloud account.

Connect the Straker Translate app to your organization's account by typing connect, press Enter, and then clicking on Direct Login or Connect LanguageCloud account.

Connect the Straker Translate app to your organization's account by clicking on Direct Login.
- Once your Straker Translate app is connected, you will receive the following notifications on your Connect page in LanguageCloud:
- Sign up for LanguageCloud. Go to https://languagecloud.strakertranslations.com/ and then click Sign up.
- Enter your email address and password, and then click Sign up.
- You will be notified to check your email and verify your LanguageCloud account. Once you verify your email you will be connected within your Straker Translate app for Slack.
