Your people

Note: Only members with the Group Admin permission can access the People and Validators sections in LanguageCloud.

People are members of the business who can submit quote requests from the company’s name. Members have either an Admin or a User status. 

• Admins - can see all the jobs submitted by the members of their company
                - can add or delete users, or change a user’s accessibility within the group
• Users - can only see the jobs submitted. See People Permissions topic below for more information. 

You can view and update information about the people in your group by navigating to Settings 🡪 People from sidebar menu.

To add a new member, click + Invite Member. This will generate an email invitation to the new member for confirmation – the email will be used as the username and the member will be asked to create their password. 

There are 3 sections available to view within the People section:

• APPROVED – lists current LanguageCloud members
• PENDING – lists members that need Admin approval to gain access to LanguageCloud
• INVITED – lists members that need to accept their email invitation

People Permissions

Click on the edit icon to edit the permission of your member to open the permissions page. This page allows you to set the permission level (views, actions, and restrictions) of the member. in your group

• Quote Approval Limit - Admin users can set the amount that their users can approve up to. By default the value is left blank which means that as long as a user has permission to approve quotes they can approve any amount.
• Approve/Submit Quotes - Individual permissions can be set to allow users to Approve and Submit Quotes. These permissions are Group specific, so it can be turned on in one group and off in another. 
  • Approve Quotes
    • If enabled (enabled by default), the user is able to pay or accept quotes under the Order Now filter. If disabled the user does not have permission to pay or accept quotes and won't receive quote emails.
  • Submit Quotes
    • If enabled (enabled by default), the user is able to submit documents for translation using the Request Quote button. This permission may be commonly disabled on client validators.
• Download Files
  • Control who has access to downloading files from LanguageCloud.
  • If enabled (enabled by default), the user can download completed files for any job in the associated group.
  • If disabled, users can still download files they uploaded but no others.
