Translating Plugins

We recommend that you use Sandbox in your own staging or testing environment. The Sandbox testing mode lets you create projects in a safe environment in order to assess how the plugin functions, and whether your website’s pages will be translated as expected. No job information is sent to Straker Translations in the Sandbox mode.

Language Codes

To configure text for translation that needs to be sent as a .po file or to find the correct WordPress language codes, please use this link as a reference: https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/.

We can provide translations for titles and context controlled by other plugins. However, the translation may not surface due to the functionality of one or more plugins acting on the piece of text. Check the help documentation on your widgets for how languages should be set up and alter as necessary.

Passing Locales

If you prefer to use our plugin to pass the locale, it will create the language values and conditions in the themes for you. You don’t need to change any PHP.
