Straker Translations Validator Platform
Please watch the video to see exactly how validators can use the features.
Source content is displayed on the left-hand side of the screen and the translation on the right.
Click on a segment to activate the text editor, where you can modify the translation, or leave a comment against that segment.
Navigation is made easier by some keyboard shortcuts (see below).
Use the save button to save any changes you make to a translation. This immediately replaces the current translation.
Use the comment button if you wanted to leave a comment for the translator (i.e. “can you please use a more informal tone” or “please use WORD X instead of WORD Y”). The feedback will be given to the translator at the end of the project.
Sign Off Button
Use the sign off button to indicate to the Project Manager when you have finished making changes. Any batch that is not signed off will remain under review and will not be supplied until it is signed off.
Formatting tags are small diamonds that indicate where document formatting begins and ends (for example, bold text). Tags can be reordered at will by either dragging them to the desired location.
