A validator is your own reviewer who can be assigned to check, leave comments or make changes to the translated text through Straker Translations Validation platforms. If you need to include internal validation as a step to your translation, please inform Straker Translations prior to commencing the project.
The validation page is where you can assign people to spot check the translation. To find a specific Validator, click search validator and enter their email address. This will give search results for all groups linked to your business.
If a validator leaves a comment on a section, it is sent as a report to the translator(s), who will action as necessary. However, if a validator makes a change to a segment, the text it will automatically be updated in the memory. Updated content will be given a greater weighting for future translations. This ensures your validators changes will always take precedence.
Adding a new Validator
- On the menu bar, select Validator.
- Click the +Add Validator button.
- Enter the Validator’s information and a password and click Add. No email will be sent to the validator until your project is underway and they have been assigned but you can email your validator at any time from this section.
- Click Edit Languages against the validator’s name to set up or change validator’s language pairs.
An Admin user can alter this information at any time but once a Validator is added and assigned work they will appear in our database and will be given an access to translated materials.
