How many requests I can send through the API?
There is currently a throttle in place to stop more than 150 requests per minute. We are currently working on a queuing system to allow up to 100 requests per second.
Can I get some languages back sooner than others?
If you have multiple languages to translate, but you need one back sooner than the rest, provide them as separate jobs if you want the callback to happen automatically. For example, if you have Spanish, French, German and you need German back first, provide the German as one job and provide Spanish and French as another job.
We only return the callback when all of the languages are completed. However, if you are wanting to keep them all grouped together you can perform a GET for a specific job to retrieve the languages that have already been completed.
Can we send content in a custom XML format?
Yes, as long as it is structured data we can accept through XML. We would need to write a custom parser to easily import the content in our Workbench, but we would work with you to do this.
How does billing work?
There are several methods of payment available for API projects. The main aim of our billing options is to make it as easy as possible to push content through the API without having to deal with a cumbersome payment process.
Pre-arranged costs
In this model the cost of your project has already been agreed with one of our account managers. The amount of content (number of words), or an estimate on the hours required for translation have already been agreed.
Weekly or Monthly Invoicing
For ongoing projects, we are able to generate a rolled up invoice at the end of each billing period.
